The Brew Authority is a craft beer website with a focus on New York State. It used to be named “The New York Brew Authority,” For about a year, the site went into hibernation. Problems with the server arose. Perhaps the site wasn’t even worth updating anymore.
Yada yada yada, the site is back.
Some of the old links may be broken. But if you are looking for a particular article, it can probably be found via the Search.
You can contact Blake (he writes the articles and mentions himself in the third person) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also follow Blake on Twitter. His handle is “brewauthority.”
So hey, why is the site named “The Brew Authority?” Do you know everything about beer or something? Or are you simply arrogant?
Well, No and perhaps Yes.
A long time ago in 2009, Blake was looking for URLs for his craft beer website. The options were rather thin. But, thebrewauthority.com was available! The name recalled NYS public entities like the Thruway Authority or the Port Authority (You can find a list of them here: http://www.osc.state.ny.us/pubauth). So why not a Brew Authority?
