New York breweries take home medals from 2010 Great American Beer Festival

ithaca_brute.jpgSeveral New York Breweries are bringing home Great American Beer Festival (GABF) medals from the 2010 event in Denver, Colorado.  Leading the pack is the Ithaca Beer Co., winning gold for “Brute,” an American-style sour ale.

From Ithaca Beer Co.’s website:

Brewed with vintage local hops, American Barley, Wheat and Corn, Brute is fermented on Oak for many months with Brettanomyces, then finished with a blend of three Champagne yeasts.  Enjoy the turbid citron hue, mature aroma, brash tartness and dry, quenching sparkle.

Congratulations to Ithaca Beer Co. and the other winning breweries. We look forward to tasting success! Links are provided to the breweries websites so you can find more information on their award-winning brews.
